Hi I’m Verity!
I'm a friendly, bubbly laid back story telling and emotive photographer from Perth Western Australia. I started running my business in 2018 with a passion for family, mothers in bloom and newborn photography.
Since I consider myself a big kid at heart. I will do all that I can to help your babies feel comfortable by engaging in your photo session, even if that means singing baby shark while doing jumping jacks! ;)

01. Laid back & fun

My ideal clienst are the ones who are laid back and want to have a bit of fun. I don’t like being too serious! I find when everyone is relaxed and laid back you will get the most out of your session. Think of it as hanging out with one of your mates! Do you have a hubby or partner who hates having their picture taken? let them know they can bring a few bevies to drink throughout the session!

02. Embrace the chaos

Expect to have lots of fun with one another! Expect to kiss,cuddle, laugh and play. I want to let your children explore, play and be silly. I want you to embrace the chaos and the crazy that is YOUR WORLD. Let me capture these moments that you will look back on that will make you smile, laugh and cry! During the session, I will ask you not to look into my camera and instead spend time with your loved ones. I may guide you into different positions, ask you to cuddle into one another etc but that is generally as far as I go.

03. Unique style

I edit bold and vibrant this is an editing style I love but don’t see much of in Perth. I like to stand out from the crowd so if you love this style aswell then you’ve come to the right place!

04. Communication

To me, communication is key to make sure you get all that you can out of our time together. When you book with me you will receive a style & preparation guide aswell as a questionnaire. Knowing about your family ahead of time will allow me to help that dreamy session come to life. I also like to check in a couple of weeks before your session to see how your outfits are coming together. This is more than just a photo session, it is a collaboration between myself and your family coming together to create memories that you will hold onto for life.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where are you located?

I'm based North of the river but I'm happy to travel throughout Perth. A travel fee may apply depending on location

Whats included?

I will edit 60 + of your best images and you have them all included in your package! These can then be downloaded from your private online gallery where you can share directly with your friends and family.

What time do the sessions take place?

Indoor newborn lifestyle sessions:
I always like to suggest a morning time (around 10am) or a time when the natural lighting is sufficient in your home. I don't use artificial light only the light that comes in from your windows. Sessions fun for approx 1 - 1.5 hours

Outdoor sessions:
These take place during golden hour, which is the time of day just before sunset. The light is beautiful, flattering and magical and I don't have to fight with shadows and bright sunlight. The time of this obviously changes quite a lot depending on the season, and in summer, this can make the start times really later in the evening. If you have really little kids I totally understand how off-putting that sound (I feel ya.. being a mother to a 18 month old) BUT I can promise you, for this one day, it is totally worth the small disruption and I find if they have a late nap and snack before hand they are generally quite happy and get right into the fun. I am however flexible with this and if you are wanting an early session I have a couple of locations that I can shoot at to avoid this. You won’t however have that golden light which is only achieved during my later sessions. Sessions run for 45mins - 1 hour

Where will the session take place?

Outdoor sessions:
The possibilities are honestly endless. I think we live in one of the most beautiful parts of the world – there is so much to explore in and around Perth! I have a few set locations that I regularly shoot at and that suit my style. Locations such as fields, beaches, river & Perth hills locations. We will chat about these options once you book with me.

Indoor sessions:
In the comfort of your own home. Usually the master bedroom, lounge & nursery. Where the best natural light is in your home. I like to use big windows!

What should I wear?

Every booking received will receive a style guide to help if you're a little stuck! I also have a small mama & bubba wardrobe which can be used free of charge. I only have a limited amount of dresses as I encourage clients to wear clothes they feel comfortable in. This also makes your photos unique by not wearing the same dresses as every other client.

What if the weather forecast is looking awful and we have booked an outdoor session?

If it is raining, we will reschedule your session. If the forecast looks wet, we can either make the call the night before, or play it by ear and wait til morning. I also don’t like to shoot in 40 degree hit that is not fun for anyone! I’ll be in contact in the days leading up to the session to chat about our options.

What about if one of our kids or one of us is sick?

Don't stress we will reschedule if your family is sick, and we’ll also reschedule if I’m sick!

When will I receive my photos?

You will then receive your secure online gallery within 4 weeks of your session. I will always strive to deliver images within 4 weeks, however during busy periods this may occasionally take a week or two longer.

Do you have a studio?

No. All my sessions are taken outdoors on location or in the comfort of your own home.

Can I book an extended or group family session?

My family sessions are for immediate family only (including fur babies) as I like to focus on the intimate bond between mum, dad and their children. I don't offer extended family sessions to include Nan, Pop, Grandma, Grandad, Aunties & Uncles etc. If you are looking for this type of shoot I would be happy to recommend some other photographers to you. If you are booking a newborn session then photos will be taken of bubs solo, with mum, dad & siblings
